Propagation & Growing Guide

• Upon Arrival: Your cuttings are ready to plant! If you cannot plant immediately, keep them in a cool, dark place and mist them to prevent drying out.

• Planting:

  • Plant the cuttings horizontally in a pot or prepared garden bed, about 5-7 cm deep.

  • Alternatively, they can be planted at a 45-degree angle with at least one node buried and one above the soil.

• Position: Choose a sunny to partially shaded spot with well-drained soil. Water it well after planting.

• Initial Care: Keep the soil consistently moist (but not waterlogged) until strong shoots and roots are established.

• Long-Term Care: Once established, Bana Grass is remarkably low-maintenance. Cut or graze it regularly to manage its size and encourage fresh, tender growth.

• Viability: Our cuttings are freshly taken from healthy, actively growing plants to ensure the best chance of successful propagation.

• Growth Rate: Once established, this grass is extremely fast-growing and can reach over 4 metres in height.
