Radish China Rose SEEDS – Long Red Radish – Raphanus sativus – Heirloom

Non-GMO, open-pollinated, and not chemically treated. This radish is an easy-to-grow hardy annual vegetable with a long red tapered shape that can reach up to 15cm. The outer leaves can be harvested and enjoyed as the plant grows. It is a typical winter vegetable in subtropical and warm climates! The vibrant colour and white mild flesh radish is the perfect addition to salads, sandwiches, pickles, roasted, and on their own, cold or hot! It is a good source of Vitamine C, B6, and Magnesium.

Growing tips: sow directly into the soil > germination soil temperature is 10-30°C > sowing depth ~1cm > plant spacing ~4cm, row spacing ~30cm > germination days 4-12 days > maturity ~30-40 days. Radish is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves the sun and moderate watering, however, the better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds. It does grow better during the cooler months of the year.
