Sowing & Growing Tips
  • Germination: For best results, seeds can be nicked (scarified) with a knife or file and soaked in warm water for 24 hours before sowing to improve germination rates.

  • Sowing: Sow in a warm, well-lit position after the last frost. Use a quality seed-raising mix in small pots or trays, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged.

  • Transplanting: Once seedlings have developed several true leaves and are sturdy enough to handle, transplant them into the garden or a very large container. Water in well.

  • Position: Requires a warm, sunny position with well-drained soil to thrive and produce abundant fruit. A slightly raised garden bed is ideal for drainage.

  • Support: This is a vigorous climbing vine that requires a strong, sturdy trellis, fence, or structure to support its growth.

Additional Notes
  • Freshness: Our seeds are freshly harvested for optimal viability.

  • Disclaimer: As with any new food, we recommend you research before consumption. Please also see the full disclaimer in the footer of this page. Germination and growth success can depend on local conditions and gardening practices. Passionfruit vines may take 12-18 months to fruit from seed.
