Panama Red Passionfruit SEEDS Untreated & Heirloom – Large Fruit – Passiflora flavicarpa

Panama Red Passionfruit is an easy-to-grow deep red passionfruit variety. It produces large, delicious fruit within 1-2 years after starting the seed. Apart from the delicious taste passionfruit is a good source of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. The fruit and the leaves are edible and have countless health benefits.

Planting and growing tips:

1. Start in a pot or tray to ensure success. Keep moist, not wet, until the seeds sprout.
2. Replant into individual pots when the seedlings have 2-3 leaves.
3. Passionfruit is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves full sun or semi-shade.
4. It is a vine so it does need support to thrive. Our passionfruit plants grow on a fence.
5. Replant into its final position or to a larger pot at the latest when you see some roots coming out of the pot’s bottom holes. The better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow.
6. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds.
7. Trim after harvest promotes future growth. I usually trim the branches during winter.
8. Depending on soil and growing conditions, you can expect the first fruit within 1-2 years after planting.
