Panama Red Passionfruit PLANT (Passiflora spp.) – Untreated & Heirloom
Experience the exotic flavour and stunning beauty of the Panama Red Passionfruit! This vigorous, fast-growing vine is prized for its large, crimson-red fruits and incredibly sweet, aromatic pulp. Unlike many other varieties, the Panama Red is known for its low acidity, offering a uniquely rich, tropical flavour that is perfect for eating fresh, juicing, or adding to desserts.
This heirloom plant is untreated, non-GMO, and grown using organic principles. It’s not just a productive edible; it’s also an ornamental masterpiece, producing breathtaking, intricate flowers that attract pollinators like bees and butterflies to your garden.
As a tropical perennial, it thrives in subtropical and tropical climates. In cooler regions, it can be grown successfully in a large pot and protected from frost during winter.

Planting & Growing Tips
Initial Care: Upon arrival, give your plant a good drink and place it in a partially shaded, wind-protected spot. Allow it to acclimatise in its original pot for a few days before transplanting.
Transplanting: Re-pot into a large container or plant into the garden when roots begin to emerge from the drainage holes. Water thoroughly immediately after planting.
Position: Requires a warm, sunny position with well-drained soil to thrive. It will grow in partial shade but produces the most fruit in full sun. A slightly raised garden bed is ideal for ensuring excellent drainage.
Support: This is a vigorous climbing vine that requires a strong trellis, fence, or structure to support its growth.
Feeding: For best fruiting, feed with a balanced, organic fertiliser during the growing season.
Additional Notes
Sun Acclimatisation: Our nursery plants are grown in partial shade. To prevent sun shock, gradually introduce them to full sun over a week before planting them in their permanent sunny position.
