Grow your own coffee! Arabica coffee is a beautiful evergreen small tree that can be grown outside in the tropics and subtropics. It can also be grown inside as an ornamental in cooler regions. It is a self-pollinating plant so you can expect a good crop even if you grow it inside! The leaves, the red berries (fruit), and the coffee seeds have lots of health benefits and can be used in many different ways including tea, powder, tinctures, cosmetics, very well-known coffee drinks, and more.

Planting and growing tips: Soak the coffee seeds in water for 24 hours. Sow the seeds in soil mixed with sand or with vermiculite to ensure good drainage. Keep it moist but not water logged. It may take up to 3 months for the seeds to germinate.

The coffee plant doesn’t take up lots of space and it is self-pollinating. Coffee is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves bright indirect light, and moist, rich, well-draining soil. The better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow.
