Wombok Cabbage SEEDS – Untreated & Heirloom – Chinese Cabbage – Brassica rapa subsp. pekinensis
Non-GMO, open-pollinated, and not chemically treated. Wombok is an easy-to-grow hardy annual vegetable and the main ingredient in kimchi. Fantastic winter vegetable for subtropical and warm areas of Australia, and it can handle frost! Perfect for stir-fries, salad, and on its own, cold or hot! It contains many beneficial vitamins like C, K, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrients. It is rich in fiber, beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iodine, and sulfur.

Growing tips: start in punnets > separate and replant to its final position into good soil when the seedlings grew 3-4 leaves each > Germination soil temperature is 7-25°C, sowing depth ~0.5cm, plant spacing ~40cm, row spacing ~40cm. Wombok is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves the sun and moderate watering, however, the better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds. It does grow better during the cooler months of the year.
