West Indian Gherkin Cucumber SEEDS – Cucumis Anguria – Heirloom

Non-GMO, non-hybrid, open-pollinated, no chemically treated, heirloom seeds. Crunchy little treats that grow up to 5cm in length. The younger and smaller, the better in taste from my experience. Hardy and easy to grow during hot and humid summertime. Rich in potassium, vitamin A, vitamin K, and beta-carotene. West Indian Gherkins can be enjoyed raw, in salads, cooked, fermented, and pickled. It is a hardy annual vegetable that will happily re-seed in your garden if you let it. It prefers a sunny position, and it can be grown in a large pot, too. You can let it crawl through your garden and grow it on a trellis.

Planting and growing tips: Sow during Spring and early Summer. It is is an easy-to-grow plant, however, the better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It prefers full sun but will also grow in a semi-shade. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in raised garden beds.
