Borage has lots of health benefits and can be used in a range of homemade remedies like tinctures, infused oils, tea, beauty products, salves, and more. It will attract a range of beneficial insects to your garden. The young leaves have a light cucumber flavour and can be used in salads. Borage produces attractive light blue star-shaped flowers that can be used as a garnish in all sorts of dishes. It is an annual herb that will happily re-seed itself in your garden.

Planting and growing tips: Sow in Spring to early Autumn. Borage is a hardy plant, that loves the sun and moist soil, however, the better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in raised garden beds.
