Asian Pigeonwings is a very quick-growing self-seeding vine. It loves to climb. The blue flowers are edible, make a beautiful blue tea, and can be used for food colouring. You can store the dehydrated flowers in a jar for months. The plant is a great nitrogen fixer for your garden soil, too.

Planting and growing tips: Placing the seeds in water for 24 hours before putting them into the soil will speed up the germination process. Asian Pigeonwings is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves the sun and moderate watering, however, the better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds.
