Red Cabbage SEEDS Heirloom – Red Acre
Red Cabbage SEEDS are non-GMO, open-pollinated, and not chemically treated. Cabbage Red Acre is an easy-to-grow cabbage with large heads maturing within 65 days. Typical winter vegetable in our subtropical and warm climate, and it can handle frost! Perfect for coleslaw, salads, soups, braised, and of course for fermenting to make sauerkraut! This cabbage tastes delicious and contains many beneficial vitamins like C, K, minerals and other nutrients. It is rich in fiber, beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iodine, and sulfur.

Growing tips: start in punnets > separate and replant to its final position into good soil when the seedlings grew 3-4 leaves each > Minimum germination soil temperature is 18-24°C, sowing depth ~0.5cm, plant spacing ~35-60cm. Cabbage is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves the sun and moderate watering, however, the better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds. It does grow better during the cooler months of the year.
