Planting and growing tips:

  1. Sow in pots or straight into its final position.
  2. It will grow in nearly all sorts of soil but like many plants, it doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds.
  3. You can expect flowers in the first year after planting, depending on the growing conditions. Trimming after flowering encourages new growth.
  4. Garlic vine is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves the sun and moderate watering, however, the better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds.

Additional notes:

  • The price is for four seeds, coming from my plant, naturally grown with lots of love in my permaculture food forest in Pacific Haven QLD Australia. Sending within Australia only, not to NT WA TAS. Pick up by appointment only.
  • If you use the pre-order option, I will send the plant/seeds as soon as I have it ready for you to send and this can be anything from two weeks up to 6 weeks or longer depending on the plant/seeds you are after.
  • Most of our nursery plants grow in a half-shade. Introducing them to the sun slowly before replanting them to their permanent position will promote healthy growth.
  • We usually dispatch on Monday to make sure the plant arrives at your place before the weekend.
  • Do your own research before trying any new foods. Please also note our disclaimer in the footer of this page.
